Biography

Ali joined Cavanagh as an Associate in 2026, focusing primarily on insurance defense, professional liability, and construction defect work.

Originally born in Seattle, Washington, Ali grew up in Bend, Oregon and studied public policy and urban planning at the University of Oregon, graduating magna cum laude in 2022.

Ali earned her J.D. from the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law in 2026. During law school, she served as an Articles Editor for the Arizona Law Review, where she published her student Note, Prosecution for a Missed Period: Unregulated Reproductive Surveillance and the Need for Increased Medical Data Protections After Dobbs.

She also represented the University of Arizona on the National Environmental Law Moot Court Team, receiving recognition for her oral advocacy skills, and worked in the law school’s Natural Resources Use & Management Clinic, where she assisted Arizona farmers and water users in claims for the Little Colorado and Gila River General Stream Adjudications. Ali also served as an Ares Teaching Fellow for the Civil Procedure course.

Outside of the law, Ali enjoys Pilates, cheering on the Oregon Ducks, and knitting and sewing her own clothing.
