Kelton G. Busby is a highly esteemed, senior member and a part of the 24-hour Support Force at The Cavanagh Law Firm. As a legal adviser, Kelton has extensive knowledge in defending corporations including transportation businesses, recreational vehicle firms and car manufacturers with wrongful death or catastrophic injury cases. Kelton has also represented technical climbing equipment manufacturers, lawn service providers, transport businesses and truck rental businesses.

For years, Kelton has accommodated cases that range from multimillion-dollar paraplegia claims to minor soft tissue matters. In addition, he has defended retailers in premises liability issues and general contractors in construction defect proceedings involving more than 20 parties and claims worth over $20 million dollars made against his general contractor client.

Accredited to make court appearances before both Arizona and Utah state and federal courts, Kelton attempts to settle cases in the most rational way feasible, while reducing time and cost. He has conducted three jury trials in different states and mediated and arbitrated dozens of client cases in Arizona and Utah.

Kelton is a regular speaker at trucking and transportation conferences in Arizona, Colorado and Texas. Recently, he has spoken on various subjects including "Scare Tactics of Plaintiff's Lawyers and Preventing Jurors from Falling for It," "Direct Examination of Company Witnesses," "Interpreting the Insurance Contract - Nuances and Pitfalls," "Analysis of Venue/Practical Tips on Venue," "Defending Low-Speed Accidents" and "Broker/Shipper Liability."

Throughout his professional journey, Kelton has lectured to claims staff, merchants and other lawyers on topics pertaining to recent growths in supplement insurance coverage, changes to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and Arizona law related to claims for third-party insurance coverage and management of dispute cases. He is part of the State Bar of Arizona, the Utah State Bar, the J. Reuben Clark Law Society and The Harmonie Group, a global alliance of separate law firms.

Kelton, a fourth-generation inhabitant of Arizona, has strong connections to the Arizona community. Besides work, he loves spending time outdoors going on hikes, Jeeping and other activities with his wife and four children.
