
As a senior member of the law firm, Mrs. Suddes is a seasoned litigator who focuses primarily on personal injury, property damage, construction, and commercial litigation. In her practice, Mrs. Suddes handles all aspects of claims, from initial investigation through the litigation process to settlement or trial. She utilizes thorough discovery, strategic motion practice, and effective communication to vigorously litigate cases to resolution or trial. Mrs. Suddes strives to resolve matters for her clients when appropriate by early and continuous evaluation and settlement exploration. Her practice involves proceedings in both State and Federal Courts and alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration through private neutrals, the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and JAMS.
In 2020, Mrs. Suddes received the designation of Certified Litigation Management Professional (CLMP) through the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance (CLM) and takes pride in managing her practice in an effective and efficient manner to meet her clients’ goals. Mrs. Suddes’ wide variety of experience and cases keeps her engaged and excited about practicing law.
Mrs. Suddes’ personal injury practice entails defending individuals and businesses against claims arising from automotive, motorcycle, bike, and truck accidents as well as incidents on their property and products, such as slips, trips, and falls or mechanical and product failures. These claims include uninsured and underinsured motorist, wrongful death claims, dram shop/intoxication liability, and dog bite liability. Her intentional tort defense work includes defending defamation and invasion of privacy claims as well as assault, battery, and emotional distress claims.
Mrs. Suddes’ construction practice is focused on defending construction defects claims against general contractors and subcontractors, including the risk transfer issues involved in those claims, and handling other construction related disputes between product sellers, manufacturers, developers, installers, suppliers, and consumers. She also handles complaints before the Registrar of Contractors.
Mrs. Suddes’ property damage work includes first and third party claims arising from fire, weather, and products.
Additionally, she has significant experience handling matters involving insurance coverage, bad faith claims, and contract claims.
Mrs. Suddes’ clients range from insureds and insurers for both personal and commercial lines, to publicly traded companies and privately owned businesses, to individuals. Some of the industries she has represented include solar and energy, technology, telecommunications and security, farming and agricultural, restaurants and hospitality, transportation, and construction.
